The Kia Rio is a great urban hatchback and I’m sure you’re no stranger to the Kia Rio – after all, Rio models are sold in our country too. The new 2022 Kia Rio has been given a minor facelift abroad, with a slightly upgraded exterior and interior, and a turbo-48V mild-hybrid engine.
Let’s take a brief look at the shape of the 2022 Kia Rio. The new Rio is in fact much the same as our current Rio, after all, it is only a minor facelift, available in three and two trim levels. The front features a new design language. The car’s stiff side waistline runs to the rear of the car, further enhancing its three-dimensional appearance. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned to give the 2022 Rio a more sporty and stylish look. The headlamps and taillamps retain much of the design of the current Rio, and the overall look is quite good.

The interior of the Mobil Kia Rio 2022 is the same classic Kia interior design, with a multifunction steering wheel and a familiar interior design pattern seen on many Kia models. This time, the original manufacturer has also introduced an 8-inch multimedia console and a 4.2-inch multi-function display instrument cluster, making it easier for passengers and drivers to access entertainment and information.
In addition to the 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine and 1.2L natural air intake engine available in foreign markets, the 2022 Rio also gets a new 1.0L SmartStream turbocharged three-cylinder engine + 48V mild hybrid engine with 120PS and 200Nm of torque, and electric torque assist and brake regeneration to improve fuel consumption. The combination is called EcoDynamics+, according to the original manufacturer. In addition to this, the entry model comes with electric windows, a four-speaker audio system, a 3.5-inch instrument display and 15-inch wheels. The top model comes with cruise control, keyless entry, a car alarm and a rear USB charging port. The 2022 Kia Rio has been officially announced with a price range of $16,050 – $16,690 in the US.
